Driving a passenger bus is definitely a difficult task. The buses are big and have a lot of inertia and are therefore difficult to control. It is not just about being switched on mentally in order to brake early and shift lanes earlier when needing to take a cut, it is also physically taxing as you have to sometimes wrestle with the steering wheel in order to move the bus around. The game has a very direct approach to the game and you are directly prompted to start playing the game. There is only one other option on the homepage – Settings. The Settings allow you to turn on and turn off the settings and also allow you to choose the direction control mode for the bus – button based, tilt mode or steering wheel based. The bus simulator game currently only has one gaming mode i.e. Career Gaming mode. A Multiplayer version is under development though it hasn't been launched as of yet. The Career Mode has multiple levels with each level presenting a particular challenge to the user. The challenge must be completed for the level to be won and the next level is only unlocked after the previous level has been passed.

The bus simulator has multiple buses available that you can drive. There are six buses available in total with only one unlocked at the start. Each bus has a different appearance as well as different speed, steering and braking ratings. This means that the higher end buses are rather easier to drive and can move quicker too. The buses can be unlocked using in-game currency that is earned by completing gaming levels in Career Mode.

The gameplay of the bus simulator is not that realistic with the bus driving experience slightly childish at times. There is no gear system present and therefore, the accelerator button moves the bus forward while the brake button is responsible for stopping the bus and then moving it in reverse direction. The turning of the bus is ridiculously easy and buses can make high speed turns without any real issues. There are no traffic rules that you need to follow and there is definitely some issue with the cars on the road as you can sometimes pass through an oncoming car rather than coming to a halt after a collision.

The bus simulator's gaming controls are cool with tilt, button and steering based controls available. There is a buzzer available too while you can view the bus through multiple camera angles as well. You can switch around between the controls and the camera angles with ease while the graphics for the map, bus speed and fuel are definitely cool. The game's general graphics are also good with the city environment and its road network captured rather well by the game.
